Overview
Electric vehicles and charging infrastructure are dense with electronics that must be powered safely and reliably from a high-voltage source. The charging control cabinet, the on-board charger, the battery management system and the communication interfaces all need regulated low-voltage rails, and those rails must be isolated from the high-voltage power stage. Mornsun power modules serve this role, and BeiLuo supplies them with genuine traceability and FAE support.
Isolation for Safety and Noise
A charging station or an EV runs at high voltage, so the control electronics must be galvanically isolated from the power stage, both for safety and for noise immunity. An isolated DC-DC module generates the low-voltage rails across the isolation barrier, so the controller floats safely and the measurement and communication interfaces stay clean. The isolation also breaks ground loops, which improves the accuracy of the current and voltage sensing that the charging control depends on.
Wide Input for the Battery Range
A traction battery swings widely across its state of charge, and the on-board auxiliary rails must stay regulated across that range. A wide-input module such as the Mornsun URB series, with its 4:1 input range, holds a regulated output as the battery voltage moves, so the control electronics keep running without a pre-regulator. This simplifies the design and improves reliability.
Charging Station Control
A DC charging station has a control cabinet that runs the communication, the metering and the safety logic. A DIN-rail or enclosed AC-DC supply such as the Mornsun LIF or LM series provides the cabinet rail with reinforced isolation and protection, and isolated DC-DC modules generate the lower rails and the communication rails. The DIN-rail format saves installation time, and the integrated protection suits the harsh cabinet environment.
Battery Management and On-Board Charger
The battery management system measures the pack current and voltage and controls the cells, and its sensing and control electronics sit on the low-voltage side of the pack isolation barrier. Isolated modules power those electronics safely, and their compact packages fit the tight EV packaging. The on-board charger uses a similar approach, generating its auxiliary rails from the high-voltage bus with isolated modules that ride through the battery range.
Selection and Supply
Selection starts with the source range and the required rails, then narrows by power, isolation, package and temperature, choosing a compact isolated DC-DC module for the on-board rails and a DIN-rail or enclosed AC-DC supply for the charging cabinet. BeiLuo keeps mainstream Mornsun modules in regional stock, ships them with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS documents, and supports selection, EMC and thermal design with an in-house FAE team. From the battery management supply to the charging station cabinet, our engineers help you choose the power modules that keep the system safe and reliable.
